The Iron Tiger Eye is the oldest stone on Earth, dating from 3.5 billion years ago. The material resulted from a very special situation that melted two types of Tiger Eye with a metal, resulting in amazing layering. It is extremely rare, it was found occasionally only in Australia. As with any Tiger Eye, light creates impressing layering, and, despite being polished flat, the layers look stacked. It is an extremely rare dial, as the material is very very hard to cut and polish.
A timepiece for those who know. Best appreciated when seen in light, it has a striking appearance, not at all captured in pictures.
